The MOORNEBHEYM project was brought to life in 2009 by the German artist Mario Polzin, but its roots grow way deeper. It's a project of free design and artwork, based in the region of Schleswig-Holstein, located in the northernmost part of Germany. Due to it's location between the North- and Baltic Sea the works of MOORNEBHEYM are deeply inspired by the might of the oceans, especially the Baltic Sea. The stirring sound of the waves and the rushing of the wind evoke an unique feeling of freedom and individuality, therefore MOORNEBHEYM draws its inspiration from it. But also the magnificence of sublime forests and the human being itself give their piece to it.

This project has already been working with several underground bands - finishing several album artworks, reaching from simple cover cards to whole digipack suits.

To keep you updated: I’m currently doing the artwork for Dead Becomes The Sun’s debut EP “The Last Eclipse”. The French black metal band just signed with Immortal Frost Productions for the release of this EP.

Sorrows

I wish your sorrows were a sigh
that crawls up your chest
when you sit down to ponder
and that you let get away
when you have had enough
of being sad.

I wish your sorrows were a dress
that you carry through the day
when you are strong
and that you let slip down your shoulder
when you are weak
before you sleep.

I wish your sorrows were a gift
that you could hand me over
when you need help
and that we together can open
when we want to see
the happiness it hides.
